  Jamie's Poems

These poems were written by Jamie Gee, age 14, a child with special needs.

Untitled 1

I think I've been used,
Heart's been abused.
Letting it all pass by,
Nothing more to do than watch the time fly.

I wish something would make you vanish
I wish it would just banish
You, and your groundless hopes.
Sliding,
Hanging on the edge,
Futilely climbing
And slipping on the slopes.

They're all blind, these other folks.
Don't see that their happiness is all a hoax.

Torn and ripped,
Again I slipped,
Completely flipped.

Noise

Sound of music glorious
Rising in sweet chorus
From within it slows
And then from there it grows

Storm

Lightening crashing
Thunder roaring
Fierce gray clouds
Swirl as if to attack at any minute
Trees fighting the wind
Suddenly it stops
Forests perspire from the struggle
And the world is again
Fresh and new

Its not so much as to turn from your shadow
Which is a part of you and look to the sun
Its about accepting both sides to see the truth

Rain

The tears of nature
From a far off glacier
How it dances with its feet dripping
And we listen to its rhythm unstopping

Untitled 2

To feel lost and all alone
Your friends as gone
It hurts to feel so far away
But there is always another day
